Last Minute Date Night Outfit Ideas

February 13, 2018

Love is in the air. Which means breaking out a lot of red accents and I, for one, am here for it. Though spontaneous date nights only wander in when it’s Valentine’s season, why not break out your best outfits, without the big shopping spree. You can find most of these pieces in a closet of your own and better yet, can cater to different outings like a fancy, romantic night out or even if you are just hanging with the girls. And for those suffering the under 40-degree weather, it’s okay, these outfits are for you also.

You don’t need to show a lot of skin in order to look sexy on a date night. A little black dress can do the sexiness factor for you. A sweetheart neckline can really show off your chest even if you are apart of the itty bitty titty committee and really can do no wrong with making you look slimmer. Pair with a red heel and quirky items like a leopard coat, a decorated clutch or even a pair of heart-shaped glasses to really make it your own.

You can really never go wrong with a sweater and some fitted blue denim. Dress this laid-back outfit up with a pair of multi-colored heels or nude pointed-toe loafers, a pair of cool glasses, some gold eyeshadow, and of course an unexpected pop of color like this chartreuse crossbody. Purple and emerald will also work too.

If you don’t really have red in your wardrobe, or red just isn’t your color, I think an all-white ensemble is just as romantic if not angelic. Not only does white accentuate your curves but an all-white outfit just makes everything look as clean and crisp as it can be. Perfect for a casual night out on the town, but you might want to wear a heavy coat to prevent catching any stains. I said white was cute, not practical. Pair with red accents if you have some and a bold winged liner.

Dressed up, but not too dressed up. If your Valentine’s day adventures for you is only existing in the office or at school, it’s always nice to be a little bit festive. The outfit that screams “buy yourself some flowers and go out for some macarons.” Pair a plaid skirt with a white chiffon number, two staples in my book. If you want to look extra comfortable in your own skin, bust out a teddy bear coat or your favorite trench. Add a red lip, beret, and your favorite boots to complete this boss lady outfit.

While we tread through the not-so-fun weather that the wintertime brings, it’s the season to show love to those we admire most. For some, it might be a significant other, a relative, or maybe if it’s just yourself, we should show love in all ways possible. But at least you’ll look cute while you are at it.
