Alexander McQueen, one of the best of the bests during Paris Fashion Week, showcased their Fall 2018 Ready-to-Wear collection. The powerful styling and cuts in this collection showed the power behind, not only the women walking, but the creative mind of Sarah Burton. The collection was simple, yet fierce and captured the idea McQueen himself always lived by.
The color palette was based on black, red, forest green, white and fuchsia. Simple colors, but bold as well. Sarah Burton did a great job with this collection and made it very sustainable, but still kept the fundamentals of McQueen's legacy.
Key Points of Alexander McQueen Fall 2018 Ready-to-Wear
Powerful Women: Sarah Burton never fails to portray the power behind women in clothing. Strong cuts, style of pieces, and beauty.
Strong Color Palette: Black, forest green, red, white and fuschia.
Women in Suits: Women in menswear is not a new concept, but the route Burton took, with fitted trousers and "cinched" waist shows off the physique of a woman.
Leather: The incorporation of leather is always a must in a McQueen collection. Leather is a very strong asset to the "powerful woman" look.
Pattern Work: A collection is not a McQueen collection without statement pattern work.
